Traditional shiplap, long associated with woodland cabins and coastal cottages, is a classic wallboard that is enjoying a renewed popularity in residential and commercial building.
When talking with our diehard shiplap fans, we discover that they typically want to paint the wood white and achieve a consistent nickel gap spacing between each board. The shiplap products on the market, however, are not well suited to what our customers want: they don’t offer a nickel gap between each board, the shiplap profile requires a face nail, and they are made from low grade, knotty lumber (these knots typically bleed through the paint, creating the look of a water stain on the wall.)
To achieve the modern farmhouse look without the drawbacks we created our “NOT SHIPLAP: Nickel Gap Wallboard”. This tongue and groove wall board is the perfect choice for the shiplap lover: NO knots to bleed thru the paint, NO face nails, a perfect nickel gap between every board, and installation flows much faster.
